Shipments are the core operational unit in TRADEXIM OS. Each shipment connects export or import documents to physical logistics — containers, vessels, shipping lines, milestones, and tracking events.
Creating a shipment
Steps
- Navigate to Shipment Management and select Shipments
- Create a new shipment and select the type (Export / Import)
- Link to an existing proforma invoice or purchase order
- Add container details: numbers, seals, sizes, types
- Select shipping line, vessel, and voyage
- Set expected dates: ETD, ETA, cutoff, loading
- Save to create the shipment record
Container details
Each shipment can contain multiple containers. For each container, record:
Milestones

| Booking Confirmed | Space booked with shipping line |
| Container Pickup | Empty container collected from depot |
| Loading Started | Cargo loading onto vessel commenced |
| Vessel Departure | Vessel departed from port of loading |
| Transshipment | Cargo transferred at intermediate port |
| Vessel Arrival | Vessel arrived at port of discharge |
| Container Return | Empty container returned to depot |
| Delivery Completed | Goods delivered to final destination |
Shipping charges
Maintain a database of shipping lines, their routes, and charge structures. Link charges to shipments for accurate cost tracking and profitability analysis.
